What does damaged hair really look like? (Part 2)

See part 1 HERE

Protect your hair

We can't stress this enough: protect your hair! You can use a number of methods and tools to protect your hair, helping it stay healthy and grow.

Protect your hair from heat by using a heat protectant when using heat styling tools.

This is important in keeping your hair healthy. Using heat styling tools on hair without heat protectants can dry out your hair, leading to breakage.

Protect your hair from the sun!

While sunbathing is great for your body (hello, vitamin D), you still need to take certain precautions when out in the sun.

Just like you need sunscreen to protect your skin, you can also use sunscreen to protect your hair. This can be as simple as wearing a cute sun hat. UV rays from the sun can directly damage your hair follicles. As we know, healthy follicles are necessary for healthy hair.

It's also smart to protect your hair from being pulled too hard.

When brushing or combing your hair, do so gently. The gentler you are, the less hair will fall out. In addition, do not tie your hair too tightly.

Moisturize properly to protect your hair

Moisturizing is important to keep your hair healthy. Hair without moisture will be dry and prone to breakage. You can find shampoos and conditioners that moisturize and help restore your hair. Please refer to Nubeà's shampoo and conditioner to help moisturize your hair here.

Avoid dyeing your hair too often

Your hair can be damaged if you dye it frequently. Hair dye contains a number of chemicals that can damage hair. In particular, bleach can cause breakage if left on the hair for too long. If you're going to dye your hair, make sure to use color-retaining products (commonly known as color-conditioning shampoos such as the Nubeà Sustenia conditioning shampoo and conditioner).

Nourishes the scalp!

Nourishing the scalp is important for healthy hair. Since hair follicles grow from the scalp, a healthy scalp leads to healthy hair follicles, which in turn leads to healthier hair. Most of us are pretty good at applying body lotion when the air is dry, and we can apply the same logic to our scalps.

Many products can add nutrients to your scalp. You can add a hair serum to your day or night routine to support moisturized and healthy hair. The hair serum goes directly into your scalp and helps revitalize your hair. Please refer to Nubeà Sustenia Serum - Volumizing 150ml .

Take care of your body

A healthy body will help your hair become healthier. It can help to stay active and eat a balanced diet to make sure you get all those good vitamins and minerals. In the meantime, combat stress by taking time for yourself and relaxing your mind. Chronic stress can lead to hair damage and we can all take some time for ourselves right now.

Is hair damage permanent?

Damaged hair can be repaired, and over time, you can regain healthy, vibrant locks. If you think your hair care routine isn't working for you, it's time to make a change. Hair care is a trial and error process, so try different products and compare the results.
