10 tips to stay cool in hot weather (and sweat less)

Here are 10 simple tips to cool off during the hottest days of the year. Whether or not you sweat a lot on a regular basis, your sweat glands are going to be super active during the summer, so take action and don't miss out on the fun of these great days.

1. Drink enough water

You should drink at least 2 liters of water in a day. By staying hydrated, you'll be able to cool down when you sweat and keep other vital body functions running as smoothly as possible.

2. Don't drink alcohol often

Alcohol can actually make you feel more dehydrated (and therefore hotter) than you used to. According to the CDC, "Alcohol/beer actually causes you to lose more fluids from your body." And unfortunately, the same goes for drinks that are high in sugar. On hot days, consider water your lifeline.

If you are prone to excessive sweating, then alcohol is not your friend. Whenever you drink alcohol, you will notice your skin has a rosy color. That's why alcohol increases blood flow underneath your cuticles, making them look rosy. It also raises your body temperature, making you sweat more.

3. Avoid direct exposure to the sun during the hottest hours

The sun makes you hot so staying away from it will make you sweat less. However, people still step out into the midday sun, they are immediately dehydrated and their clothes are soaked. Be wise and stay away from the hottest hours of the day. The CDC recommends: "Try to schedule outdoor activity during the coolest times, such as mornings and evenings."

4. Choose clothes wisely

Get rid of tight options and choose clothes that are light, loose, breathable and have good breathability. White t-shirts are a summer staple, but they can really be the key to cooling off on hot days. Light clothing absorbs less heat and allows air to reach your skin. You will feel more comfortable and beat the heat better.

5. Eat Smarter

Avoid hot and heavy meals. For example, meat is high in protein, so it takes more work for your body to digest (as a result, your temperature will rise). Eating hot spicy foods also causes a phenomenon called "sweating", causing the face to sweat. It is thought to be a side effect of salivation and is designed to cool your skin. Try to eat cooler foods, including chilled soups and salads.

6. Calm down and relax

It's not just the sun that can make you sweat; Anxiety also causes sweating. Taking time to relax, you should prioritize your own needs. Try low-energy activities like reading or watching TV. If you need to do something hard, especially outdoors, choose a cooler early morning time. Make sure you listen to your body and don't be afraid to stop if you need a break

7. Cold shower

A cold shower or bath is one of the most direct ways to cool off in the summer - and it works wonders. Cold water will help lower your internal body temperature. The water doesn't have to be as cold as ice—just cooler than usual.

8. Reduce caffeine intake

Remember that coffee is a stimulant, acts on the nervous system and helps you to increase the amount of sweat.

9. Take timely action to cool down

Cool down when you feel yourself sweating. A cold shower or fan to lower the temperature by a few degrees will help.

10. Keep your armpits dry by using an effective deodorant and antiperspirant

Prepare yourself for a simple and highly effective method to further protect your underarms in hot weather. The most effective hack is to use Breeze deodorant and antiperspirant . Its specific formula is designed to keep you dry all day long.
