4. Layer your scent
If you find your perfume doesn't last long enough, layer the scent. We mentioned using lotion with a similar scent, but you can also combine it with essential oils or balms. Typically, aromatic essential oils have the highest concentration of fragrance so they will last the longest. After fragrance oils, eau du parfums are the next in terms of intensity while eau de toilettes are the lightest. Chip it into your pulse points: the inside of your wrists, neck, palms, and the backs of your knees.
Combining a scented cleanser with the right lotion, essential oils, and perfume will deliver the longest-lasting scent with four layers of scent. If you are worried about bad odors mixed with perfume, you can use perfume and gently. Once you have four layers of scent, you will only need one or two sprays of perfume. When it comes to tweaking your post-shower body care routine for long-lasting scent, keep that in mind.
5. Don't skip body deodorant spray/roll-on
Deodorizing your body is the golden ticket to ensuring you always smell fresh. Your perfume can only be effective if it doesn't have to compete with your body odor. There's no need to be embarrassed, most people sweat throughout the day and it's normal to have a little body odor, but luckily, deodorants are available. Whether you choose conventional or natural deodorant, the optimal choice is up to you, but this is a step you don't want to skip - especially if you enjoy exercising. If you sweat a lot, you can consider products that both deodorize and limit sweat from Breeze, such as Breeze Deo Spray Mediterraneo 0% Alnumium Salt deodorant spray for men and women. 48H 150ml or antibacterial and deodorizing products with a variety of scents from Breeze to help create an extra layer of fresh scent for you all day long.
6. Wash your hair regularly
Just as your skin can accumulate dirt and oils that can cause odor, so can your hair. That's why it's important to keep your strands clean and fresh. While it's not necessary to condition your hair every day, you can use dry shampoo to refresh your hair and give it a clean scent.
In addition to dry shampoo, hair perfume is another product you might consider—and no, we don't mean you should spray perfume regularly on your strands. It is important to use specially formulated hair perfume to scent your hair because regular perfumes contain alcohol which can make your hair very dry. Instead, spray perfume on a comb and comb it through your hair to preserve the scent.
7. Keep your clothes clean and fragrant
Your body isn't the only thing to consider when it comes to staying smelling good all day - your clothes are important too. If you find yourself rummaging through clothes you forgot to wash last night to find a pair of jeans that fit you well, chances are they won't smell the best. Similar to your hair, you can spray your clothes with perfume or mineral water to help them smell pleasant. When actually washing your clothes, find a detergent with a scent you like, as the scent will likely linger after washing.
8. Soothe your breathing
It doesn't make sense to have bad breath. Even though you brush your teeth twice a day, certain foods you eat throughout the day, like your purse or your morning coffee, can leave a lasting impression on your breath. Always carry mints, mouthwash, and gum when your breath needs to be taken quickly.
9. Repeat perfume spraying throughout the day as needed
Even though you expect your scent to stay with you all day long, your scent probably won't last forever, especially on hot summer days when you're sweating more than usual. It wouldn't be a bad idea to keep a travel version of your perfume in your bag to keep your scent going throughout the day. It may also be helpful to include a travel size deodorant.
