What causes hot sweat?
When our bodies get hot, we sweat to cool our bodies. This is a normal body process called thermoregulation.
When temperatures get hotter, it can take our bodies a while to adjust, so you may sweat more than usual because your body has to work harder to cool down.
Stay cool in the heat
Here are some tips to help you stay cool in hot weather:
- Stay hydrated. The more water you drink, the more effectively your body cools. Drink water - don't drink carbonated and alcoholic drinks, as they will dehydrate you.
- To stay cool while exercising, avoid exercising in the middle of the day. If you need to exercise outside, do it early in the morning when the temperature is lower.
- Wear light-colored natural fabrics like cotton and linen because they will let your skin breathe and sweat evaporate, keeping you cool.
- We sweat about a liter a day on both feet, so if possible, wear sandals or flip-flops to let the foot sweat evaporate.
- Use fans to circulate air from open windows. Keep your curtains closed throughout the day so the house doesn't heat up when you go out.
- Although spicy foods make you sweat more, this is beneficial in hot weather because sweat helps cool you down. The same goes for hot drinks, but with tea and coffee, make sure you drink plenty of water because caffeine will dehydrate you.
- To cool down quickly, rinse your wrists under cold water or keep a water spray bottle in the refrigerator to spray a quick cooling spray on your face.
- Keep some wet wipes in your bag so you can wipe your hands, face, and neck if they feel hot or sticky.
- For those who sweat excessively in hot weather, try using antiperspirant products to keep yourself drier. Please refer to Breeze's anti-perspirant deodorant products such as Breeze Men Dry protection deodorant spray , Breeze Deo Spray Mediterraneo 0% Alnumium Salt 48H 150ml perfume deodorant spray for men and women.
How to stay cool at night? One way is to wash your feet with cool water or take a cold shower before going to bed – especially if you feel hot at night or have hot sweats at night. To cool down in bed, try leaving your pillowcases or sheets in a plastic bag in the refrigerator throughout the day. Put them back in bed at night. The fabric will stay cool when you try to sleep.
